A few months back we headed over the to The Blender Room in Chicago to see what was going on with Chip Tha Ripper and Chuck Inglish. When we walked into the studio, we got wind that the two decided to begin work on a new project appropriately titled Gift Raps with Chip rocking over original beats from Chuck Inglish. Some months later with a mini-tour for the project already under his belt, Chip is now dropping the free release on March 1st. Until today, the only chance you got the hear Gift Raps was if you heard a few of the songs performed live, but now you can check out the trippy visual to ‘Light One Up’ above that was shot out in Cleveland recently. Get excited, get your blunts, the whole project is awesome!

It’s been a while since we saw our guy Chip. Chip, the whole SLAB ENT family and I have been working together since the beginning of both of our careers and to see him become the star that we envisioned since “Bitch I’m From Cleveland” back in 2006 has been pretty inspirational. He’s been making strides in his music career for the last couple of years, teaming up with Kid Cudi. Now, he’s team up with Cool Kid, Chuck Inglish to bring us his anticipated mixtape, entitled “Gift Raps.”

Leak Jones and iLTHY got to speak to him about his anticipated release of Gift Raps, life outside of Cleveland, his relationship with hip hop star Kid Cudi and what the future holds for the two of them.
